The long brutal grind continues for what might be the worst Texas A&M football team since Mike Sherman's Aggies went 4-8 in his first season (2008). Tomorrow, the Aggies (3-6) are on the road again at Auburn (also 3-6). The game will be televised at 6:30 PM on SEC Network, not that I'll be watching much of what should be a pissing contest between two shitty SEC West teams. For what it's worth, Auburn is favored by 1.5 points at home. A road win can't salvage a lost year for A&M, but might help Jimbo finish 5-6, matching Jackie Sherrill's debut season at A&M in 1982.
College Football News prediction: Auburn squeezes out a 26-23 win for their home fans. That sounds about right, all factors considered.
Update 11:06 PM Saturday: I watched part of the first quarter of this dud, finally won by Auburn 13-10. The Aggies were held to about 215 yards in total offense for the game and dropped to 3-7. I hate to be negative, but watching Aggie football this season has been less interesting than watching a mound of fresh dog turds dry out on a hot sidewalk.
