Q NOTES No. 1150: Dazed & Confused

Being dazed and confused is the condition MAGA Monkeys sink into when a gun crazy mass-murdering neo-Nazi is not a WASP too. Sometimes life just gets too dang complicated for them, especially things that contradict their stereotypes, like the latest Texas shooter's name.

Added 12:31 PM Tuesday: Here's something I think would be extremely cool: Suppose all those secret gifts and payments that Clearance Sale Thomas and his fellow right-wingers on the supreme court (sic) have been vacuuming up for years actually involve some type of federal tax evasion?

Added 12:56 PM Tuesday: Donny Diaperful was just another insignificant celebrity until he decided to veer into politics, so his criminal activities were mainly ignored for decades and he never learned the rules of the game. He still believes none of the usual restrictions apply to him.

Q NOTES # 801: Mid-Week Mumbling 2

After another public school massacre in Uvalde, Greg Abutt referred to the event as incomprehensible. This is just one of many things that are incomprehensible in Abutt's world.

PS: Greg Abutt should find it incomprehensible that Texans won't be allowed to bear arms when they attend the NRA leadership forum to hear Donald Phlunk's inspirational speech. Doesn't the Secret Service know that as soon you set foot in the state of Texass, there are no legal boundaries on being locked, loaded, and ready for a firefight in an instant. If Greg wasn't a fuggin' sissy man, he'd set those libs straight right quick.

If there's ever any large public gathering where carrying several loaded firearms should be mandatory for everybody present, it would be some NRA leadership forum where Phlunk is a guest speaker.

In Georgia, Herschel Walker received about 68% of the Trumplican vote in the U.S. Senate primary. As a prospect for Congress, Herschel has been embarrassing, but he's a former football star and was endorsed by Donald Phlunk, which apparently checks all the boxes for many ignorant yahoos and goobers in GA. Herschel doesn't even live in Georgia - he's a Texas resident. Goobers don't give a shit.

The leading item in the Not Surprising At All file for today? That would be the report showing a correlation between the amount of money potential candidates funneled into Donald Phlunk's pocket, and his endorsements of their candidacies. Owning a money suck operation like Mar-a-Loogie has had its advantages for the Phlunker.

Shoot 'em up

As far as (R) politicians and voters are concerned, there is ONE civil right that is sacred and must be upheld even to the exclusion of any others: the right to obtain and maintain a private arsenal of firearms and a stockpile of ammo with minimal legal interference (and preferably none at all).

There have been books written to explain the reasons for (and results of) this (R) obsession with using guns to put holes in things, but it's enough to say that parading around with an expensive handgun or a modified military rifle is the ultimate exhibition of hyper-masculinity among insecure conservative white males. Taking this away from them would be similar to involuntary castration, I suppose.

Since the Dark Era of Covfefe began, the frequency of murder sprees with weapons that spray bullets is increasing to the point that I'm having to take being fired upon as a realistic possibility when I'm in a public venue like a Walmart store. That's a new one, since the only time I had machine gun bullets whizzing past me, the Army took precautions to make sure they were aimed to miss me (USAFAS at Fort Sill).

At any rate, a lot of people who aren't right-wing gun crazies are getting fed up with this shit, and as a result, some (R) politicians are pretending to give a fuck about the social implications of weekly massacres (they don't). Washington Monthly has an article about the latest feint by Donny Guano and other (R)s to create the impression they're taking decisive action to solve the problem. Hint: It involves the sort of meaningless gesture that (R) politicians made famous.

Ready on the firing line

The Donnie Velveeta-GOP solution to American gun violence problem? More people carrying more loaded guns in more places.

How Convenient

Now Republicans have found the perfect excuse to avoid listening to their constituents in town hall meetings... hot lead.

My armadillo experiences

Although I keep getting older, I'm still experiencing some things for the first time. My current new experience involves an armadillo who decided to move in with us. Actually, he dug a burrow between the holly bushes and the foundation, and comes out at night to forage for grub worms and the other nasty stuff armadillos eat. We decided he had to go.

Today, the guy from the wildlife control company came out and set the trap. He says it's not unusual for armadillos to stay in their holes for several days at a time, and not to worry if it takes a while for the little bastard to get caged.

When I was an adolescent, my dad took one of my pals and me to his old homestead, a place where we could shoot up 300 rounds of .22 ammo without bothering anyone. To pass time, we prowled around the woods looking for an animal to kill. Eventually, we crossed paths with an armadillo out searching for an afternoon snack. Those motherfuckers are faster than you might imagine, and can definitely get through thickets more rapidly than we could. We were chasing the armadillo while shooting at him, and trying to avoid accidentally killing each other. Eventually, one of us got a hit. We carried the dying creature back to our campsite, then shot him about 20 more times for making us chase him. Boys will be boys.

It took a few decades, but the scales are balancing again. I paid the wildlife control guy about 200 bucks to set up the trap, and it'll cost me another 80 dollars to have the armadillo carried away and released humanely far from here. Somewhere, the descendants of the armadillo we shot to hell are having a good laugh and enjoying sweet revenge.

Donations

George Zimmerman can't seem to catch a break. Now his defense fund is nearly depleted.

I wonder who donated to his defense fund to begin with. What motivated them? I imagine most of them were gun crazies, since George was the NRA poster boy for several weeks. Personally, on my budget, I have other priorities. If I ever feel an urge to give away more money than we already do, I'll send a check to our local PBS station during their next pledge drive. PBS does more good than George ever did or ever will do.

Another conspiracy against the crazies

From Political Wire:

Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK) claims the Obama administration "is buying up exceedingly high levels of ammunition in an attempt to limit the number of bullets the American public have access to on the open marketplace," The Hill reports.

Said Inhofe: "President Obama has been adamant about curbing law-abiding Americans' access and opportunities to exercise their Second Amendment rights. One way the Obama Administration is able to do this is by limiting what's available in the market with federal agencies purchasing unnecessary stockpiles of ammunition."

I doubt the Obama administration is doing any such thing, but if they are, more power to 'em. Anything they can do to piss off assholes like Inhofe is okay by me.

Pistolas

According to the newspaper, the state legislature plans to spend some of this session liberalizing Texas handgun laws. A proposed open carry bill would let people to tote their firearms in belt or shoulder holsters.

Texas needs to get with the fucking program. The state shouldn't ALLOW people to cowboy up, it should REQUIRE them to. Get all those guns out in the open so we can see who's armed and who isn't. Only plainclothes law enforcement officers should be allowed to carry concealed handguns in Texas.
