I've decided there are two kinds of people in the world: those who can never get their fill of Christmas, and those who get fed up with Christmas pretty quickly. I know which group I'm in.
Anyway, the best part of the Christmas holidays for me is college football bowl games and playoffs. As usual, there are a number of games involving SEC and BDF teams that I'm interested in and will probably watch. Bleacher Report predicts the results of the interesting games as follows:

Anyway, the best part of the Christmas holidays for me is college football bowl games and playoffs. As usual, there are a number of games involving SEC and BDF teams that I'm interested in and will probably watch. Bleacher Report predicts the results of the interesting games as follows:
December 29th:
- Russell Athletic Bowl: North Carolina defeats Baylor [Baylor won 49-38]
- Texas Bowl: LSU defeats Texas Tech [LSU won 56-27]
- Birmingham Bowl: Auburn defeats Memphis [Auburn won 31-10]
- Belk: Mississippi State defeats North Carolina State. [Mississippi State won 51-28]
- Music City Bowl: Texas A&M defeats Louisville. [This result is unlikely since the Aggies no longer have a quarterback with any experience] [Louisville won 27-21, and the game really wasn't that close. Texas A&M football is frustrating and embarrassing to watch. Sloppy performance, inept coaching, a team that never looks prepared to play, a pair of blue chip quarterbacks headed for the exit, and on and on. The coach is being paid at least four times what he's worth, and there's no chance Texas A&M will be a contender in the SEC West as long as he's in charge.]
December 31st:
- Orange Bowl: Oklahoma defeats Clemson. [Seeing his new team win should make Kyler Murray happy]. Predicted score: Oklahoma 37 Clemson 31. [Clemson proved they're the real deal with a 37-17 stomping of the Sooners. I didn't want to see OU in the national championship game, and after that A&M abortion against Louisville last night, it was nice to watch a team like Clemson that plays football competently and efficiently.]
- Cotton Bowl: Alabama defeats Michigan State, setting up Tide vs Sooners in the CFP championship game. Predicted score: Alabama 20 Michigan State 17. [Alabama had too much of everything for Michigan State and overwhelmed the Spartans 38-0. I left this game at halftime and watched the Twilight Zone marathon on Syfy instead.]
January 1st:
- Outback Bowl: Tennessee defeats Northwestern [Tennessee won 45-6]
- Citrus Bowl: Michigan defeats Florida [Michigan won 41-7]
- Fiesta Bowl: Ohio State defeats Notre Dame [Ohio State won 44-28]
- Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma State defeats Ole Miss [Ole Miss won 48-20]
January 2nd:
- Tax Slayer Bowl: Georgia defeats Penn State [Georgia won 24-17]
- Liberty Bowl: Arkansas defeats Kansas State [Arkansas won 45-23]
- Alamo Bowl: Oregon defeats TCU [At the half, Oregon was ahead 31-0. At the end of the game, the Texas Christians had won 47-41 in three OTs. For the Ducks, this is what's known as epic fail]
- Cactus Bowl: Arizona State defeats West Virginia. [The team A&M beat to finish the 2014 season managed to edge the team A&M beat to open the 2015 season. West Virginia 43 Arizona State 42]
Finally, Bleacher Report predicts Alabama will beat Oklahoma 30-20 to win the national championship. I'd rather see the Tide win it than the goddamned Sooners. In a perfect world, every Big 12 (Minus Two) team would get an ass-whipping in post-season. It could happen, but won't.
[I can stop fretting about OU winning the national championship game now that Clemson turned them into a messy pile of roadkill]
