The 2026 football season is halfway over, and so far, it reminds me of an old Ford pickup truck that the farmer who owns it drove into a ditch after dozing off behind the wheel. With three exceptions, the Aggie games have mostly been nothing-burgers.
Their seventh game will be carried at noon today on SEC Network. The opponent will be The Citadel (2-4) and the Aggies are 45 1/2-point favorites. College Football News has predicted A&M will win 55-3, which falls into the BFD category.
Updated 4:24 PM Saturday: I don't have a cable channel that carries the SEC Network, so I was limited to watching a few scoring highlights on the internet. The final score was Texas A&M 41 Citadel 0. This will probably be A&M's final opportunity to post a decisive win since the rest of their games are against Alabama, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Texas U, with a road game against South Carolina.
