Q Notes, Day 132

In the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, his advisors were probably telling Trumpty Dumpty the virus would primarily kill off the non-white population in large cities. That would explain his total indifference to the health problem: a lot fewer (D) voters in November.

The situation has changed since March, and now the hottest locales are red states in the southern part of the country, which means that (R) voters are at risk. That would explain why Trumpty is trying this pivot. It's probably too little, too late, but here's the sweet part: That noise that sounds like popcorn in the microwave is the sound of trumpkin heads exploding as the Big Cheese cancels their national convention.

Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas is supposedly educated, though you wouldn't think he was based on things he says and does. Someone should ask him to explain how the deep South of the Confederacy, solidly Democratic for roughly 100 years after the Civil War, was transformed so rapidly to solidly Republican beginning around the time LBJ got his civil rights legislation through Congress. Could it be that all those racist rednecks switched parties?
