The goddamn problem isn't that there are too many deaths reported by the media, it's that there aren't enough. It's not too hard to imagine where things are headed.
One of my favorite singer-songwriters was the late John Prine, and I've spent hours listening to his music, even memorizing lyrics to some of the songs. Off the top of my head, I can name at least 100 people COVID-19 should have taken instead of John Prine, or at least in addition to him.
