Groundhog Day

Subject is reference to old Bill Murray movie in which he re-lives same day over and over, and also to last night's game against the Ground Hogs.

My re-cap of the lucky breaks (Critical Razorback Mistakes or CRMs) and big plays (Crucial Plays or CPs) that turned a defeat into a win for our side. Only the CRMs and CPs in 4th quarter and OT are included:

CRM Number One: Time remaining 4:19 in 4th quarter, Ark. ahead 21-13, 4th down and 3 yards needed at Aggie 35. Arkansas decides to go for it instead of attempting a long FG. Penalty (false start) changes 4th and 3 to 4th and 8. Arkansas punts. They had been getting 3 plus yards on nearly every running play.

CP Number One: After the UA punt, A&M starts a drive at 4:11 on 15 yard line. Kyle Allen passes to Josh Reynolds for 63 yards. First-and-goal at Arkansas 7.

CRM Number Two: Pass interference in end zone results in 1st and goal at the 2YL instead of 2nd and goal at the 7.

CP Number Two: Tra Carson runs 2 yards for TD. The Aggies had been getting stuffed inside the Arkansas 10 all night, so finally powering in a TD run was big.

CP Number Three: Obviously, the Kyle Allen pass to Josh Reynolds for 2 points and a 21-21 tie.

CP Number Four: Arkansas is driving for a winning FG. Myles Garrett sacks the UA quarterback, and Hilliard recovers his fumble at Ark 41 with 1:04 remaining.

CP Number Five:  In OT, Kyle Allen passes 20 yards to Christian Kirk for TD, 28-21 lead, on A&M's second play.

CRM Number Three: In OT, Arkansas is penalized for false start on first play. Now has 1st and 15 from the 30 instead of 1st and 10 at the 25, making passes necessary.

CP Number Six: Arkansas passes on 4th and 4 (remember that penalty) at the Aggie 19. Pass broken up by D. Harris, game over, A&M wins.
