The college football season began this weekend, and I was more excited to see it arrive than I've been in several years. There have been enough changes since last season to provoke my curiosity about how things will unwind this fall.
Being Labor Day weekend, there weren't many high profile games on the schedule. I looked forward to Alabama vs Michigan, which was the pick of the litter on paper. I got behind schedule yesterday, and didn't turn on the TV until the game had been underway for over an hour. It was late in the 2nd quarter, and Alabama was ahead 31-0. That told me two things: I wouldn't be watching the game, and Alabama may repeat as national champions.
