Talking Points Memo reports another Fox News poll, this one showing that 71 percent of Republicans do NOT want Sarah Palin to run for president. Poor Sarah. It wasn't so long ago that she was queen of the hop as far as piss-ignorant Republican yahoos were concerned. So what happened ? Well, the GOP found a new pair of divas to salivate over... first Bachmann, then El Perrito. Meanwhile, the one Republican who occasionally displays a capacity for intelligent thought, Jon Huntsman, dawdles at the bottom of the pond and just seems to be waiting for one more debate before he says fuck it and throws in the towel.
Added 7:06 pm, Saturday 3 September: The diva is always the last one to figure out what's going on. According to USA Today, she's still pondering.
