When raising children, one thing a parent quickly learns is that failing to punish a child's bad behavior may result in further bad behavior. Rewarding a child who misbehaves guarantees more bad behavior.
Ace was a bad boy when he named Sweet Pea as his VP choice. Whether he made the choice himself or allowed it to be forced on him, he was bad, bad, bad. If he gets the election win he desperately covets, his naughty behavior will have been rewarded, assuring more of the same will follow. This is no time to spare the rod and spoil this child.
