Q NOTES # 820: Monday Mumbling

The second televised hearing of the House select committee on 1/6 was held this morning, and I saw most of it on MSNBC, thanks to the miracle of DVR.

Many years ago, Jonathan Winters created a character he called King Kwazi of Kwazi Land (a country that was 137 miles long and 12 feet wide). I've decided to refer to the former guy as King Kwazi since he wants to be some sort of half-assed royalty.

More testimony today from witnesses who tried to convince King Kwazi that in fact, he really did lose the election. Lying to himself that victory was stolen from him allowed King Kwazi to protect his fragile ego, and lying to his loyal followers in Kwazi Land turned into another lucrative grift, since he used the stolen election lie to scam them into donating millions to a legal expenses fund that didn't exist.

Added 4:46 PM Tuesday: Even Fox News capitulated and aired the second hearing. Later, Brit Hume suggested that if the House Select Committee succeeds in removing King Kwazi from the political scene, it might be a relief for a lot of Trumplican politicians who are quietly tolerating having his huge, flabby, wart-covered ass constantly in their faces.
