We watched the Oscar presentation ceremony on ABC last night. I've seen nearly all of the Oscar shows that have been on network TV as long as I've owned a TV set, and this is the first year that I hadn't seen a single movie that was nominated in any category, including sound, photography, film editing, or screenplay. Some of the films that were nominated seemed interesting, particularly the one called Nomadland. Maybe we'll buy that if it's released on Blu-ray later this year.
