After struggling at home to squeak by Vanderbilt, and getting obliterated on the road against the Crimson Tide, the Aggies are making this season look like one that should have been cancelled due to public health considerations.
Today (at 11:00 AM on ESPN), Texas A&M hosts the Florida Gators as a 6.5 point home underdog. If Jimbo Fisher wants to finish with a winning record (6-4 or better), this is probably a must-win game for him. If he finishes with a losing record, we may look at this as the day the countdown started on the end of the Jimbo Fisher era.
College Football News predicts that A&M's pass defense won't be capable of handling Florida's passing offense. Kellen Mond will keep the Aggies in the game for a while, but Florida finally pulls away to win 38-27.
I'll probably watch Texas U. against Oklahoma U. instead. (Update 5:57 PM: Texas-OU was too close for me to enjoy watching it. For me, the Big Shootout is only watchable when OU is stomping the shit out of the longhorns. This was one-sided for the Sooners early, then melted down into a shootout won by OU (53-45) in the fourth OT period.)
Update 1:45 PM: After trailing the entire game, the Aggies get their first lead of the day (31-28) on a great run by Spiller.
Update 2:26 PM: Tied 38-38 with two seconds left, A&M scores FG for 41-38 win over # 4 Florida Gators. This is an important win for Jimbo.
