Football 2019: National Championship

The 2019 college football season ends officially tonight with the national championship game between LSU and Clemson. I'm not a Clemson fan, but I hate LSU, so I'm mildly pulling for Clemson to win. Texas A&M plays Alabama every year, and has been playing Clemson recently. The Aggies already have enough games against national champs without adding LSU to the list.

LSU is favored by less than 6 points, and College Football News expects them to win 36-30. If it's that close, I'll probably watch most of the game on ESPN.

The SEC did well in the post-season bowl games (7-2), and the Real Big Ten (Big 12 minus 2) did poorly (1-5). LSU stomped Oklahoma 63-28, Georgia beat Baylor 26-14, and Texas A&M got by Oklahoma State 24-21. Other BDF losers were Kansas State (lost to Navy 20-17) and Iowa State (lost to Notre Dame 33-9). The lone BDF bowl winner? Unfortunately, Texas U defeated Utah 38-10 in an upset.

Other SEC bowl winners were Alabama (over Michigan), Florida (over Virginia), Tennessee (over Indiana), and Kentucky (over Virginia Tech). The losers were Auburn (to Minnesota) and Mississippi State (to Louisville).

Update 12:23 AM: Goddamn LSU beat Clemson 42-25.
