College Football News predicts Aggies 38 Southern Methodist 20.
My likely TV choices today are Alabama at Arkansas at 2:30 PM and Florida at Tennessee in the 5:00 PM slot.
Arkansas was upset last week after losing their quarterback. A home game against Alabama will indicate how steep their dropoff was. If they can make the Tide work for it, that's a sign the Aggies still need to sweat the Arkansas game. On the other hand, if the Hogs get rolled up, it may mean the Aggies have a chance to beat them, too.
I want to watch Florida against the Vols to see how good the Gators really are. Against the Aggies last Saturday, they weren't impressive in the first half, but looked much tougher in the second. I might watch a little of Arizona State at Missouri, hoping to see the Tigers take another loss.
Added 10:38 PM same day:
It was like amateur hour in the first quarter, but the Aggies finally shaped up and drilled the Mustangs 48-3. Alabama beat Arkansas even worse than that (52-0), and Florida made my day by coming from behind to knock off Tennessee 37-20. That makes the A&M loss to Florida a little less painful. Next week, South Carolina State. The Aggies are in no position to take anything for granted, but should be 2-1 by this time next Saturday.
