Bulletin: TU In Demand

The speculation continues regarding the movement of teams from one conference to another, and the realignment that such movement would require. At the moment, the guessing games involve Texas U, which is supposedly coveted by three major conferences: The Big Ten, The Pac-10, and the SEC. I have no idea how everything will pan out, but I'm reasonably sure that if Texas U ever ends up in the SEC, their days as a dominant powerhouse will come to an end.

Texas is good enough to steamroll the Big 12, where the only teams that compare are Oklahoma (when their QB position is solid), and whichever team in the North happens to be on a roll. On the other hand, the SEC is loaded with solid programs, at least eight by my count. Texas, feeding on a steady diet of Florida, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, and Tennessee, with a little Auburn, Ole Miss and Arkansas on the side, starts looking less like a 12-0 team and more like a 9-3 team. At the very least, the days when TU can cakewalk through a conference will be over.
