Add automatic garage door openers to the list of Things That I Lived Without Too Long. For years, I've had a tendency to resist technological change -- all my friends had home computers, digital cameras, and cell phones years before I did. After my resistance breaks down and I buy some gadget, I realize my life has been improved and I want to kick myself for putting things off.
