Added reply to eejay's comment: I think God has his hands full already, if an omnipotent creator has hands. My guess is that He doesn't get involved in US presidential elections, and if Americans weren't on a big ego trip, they'd realize that. The other possibility is that God uses his influence to swing the vote in a certain direction. If so, the outcomes in 2000 and 2004 make me wonder what God has against the human race. I prefer to think He stays out of it.

Ironically, I would think that Sunday is maybe not the best day to be asking for special favors from the Almighty. Too many other folks bombarding him for special requests. That day of the week is already an information /overload day for Him.
