I've read speculation that Donnie Hump actually wants to be impeached. This theory assumes the stool sample is convinced the GOP Senate will never convict him, and he will ride his "witch hunt victim" fantasy all the way to an overwhelming victory in 2020.
This is how an asshole who plays a so-called precedent (sic) on a reality TV show thinks. In the stool sample's world, life consists of two TV shows: his, and whatever he's watching on Fox News at the moment. Thinking things through and weighing facts aren't part of his routine. He likes to ad lib, and he has no idea of what's meant by the term 'unintended consequences.'
What Donnie probably ignores is that a House impeachment proceeding could stretch into 2020, and who knows what kind of Donnie Dirt would be revealed as evidence? Does he really believe that after impeachment, he'd be more popular than he is today? Is he imagining some kind of massive pity vote out there waiting for his forgiveness?
