Football 2017: Week Eight

Texas A&M had an open date today, so I didn't get around to watching football on TV at all. The Aggies have five games remaining, with four of them against SEC West opponents. Here's how those teams fared in their games today:
  • Mississippi State at Texas A&M on 28 October. The Bulldogs blew out the Kentucky Wildcats 45-7.
  • Auburn at Texas A&M on 4 November. Beating Arkansas 52-20 was no sweat for Auburn.
  • Texas A&M at Ole Miss on 18 November. The Aggies play New Mexico at home on the 11th of November; that game and this one might be their last wins of the season. Ole Miss was roughed up 40-24 by LSU today.
  • Texas A&M at Louisiana State on 25 November. The Aggies have yet to defeat LSU as a member of the SEC West, and based on the way LSU has been playing recently (see above), they probably won't end their losing streak in this game.
In other games, Alabama steamrolled Tennessee 31-7, and in the BDF, Oklahoma State handed Texas U another loss, 13-10 in overtime. The horns are now 3-4, so there's at least one thing to smile about tonight.
