An entertaining aspect of the Donnie Two Scoops predicament is his fruitless search for cutting edge legal protection. The latest hack trotted out like a trained monkey to make Donnie's plea for the TV cameras is Jay Sekulow, whose claim to fame (such as it is) involves his work for the American Taliban, trying to turn back the calendar to a time when abortion and homosexuality were punished as criminal activities.
At this point, Donnie Two Scoops isn't even trying to win back the voters who've left him -- he's desperately trying to hold onto the ones who haven't. Apparently, he hired Sekulow because he's seen the guy talking nicely about him on Fox News (Donnie's narrow window to the world).
